The president of the Beartooth Flight Center, Inc., Darrell Lowe, has 30 years of experience with commercial and private aircraft. This kind of professional service assures quality service for your airplane and it allows private jets to be based in Detroit Lakes.
Beartooth Jet Center is located at the Detroit Lakes airport, and is a modern facility. Our mission is to provide needed maintenance and related services for general aviation aircraft, including custom interiors. Although our primary function is in the refurbishments and interiors of private aircraft, we also offer inspections, maintenance and repairs of all makes and models, including annuals, modifications and detailing. The Flight Center has access to parts for all makes and models of aircraft, specializing in private aircraft.

We have a pilot shop stocked with books, shirts, caps, headsets, private pilot courses from ASA and Jeppesen as well as other gift items.
Aviation gasoline (100 LL) and Jet-A fuel is available. We try to keep the cost of fuel at the bare minimum, however, this is not always possible, and we hope our customers will enjoy the one on one service we provide. We have ice and soda available, so you can re-stock your ice chest. We invite you to come and enjoy a cup of "Bear Mud" (fresh ground coffee) on us.
There is a pilots lounge, shower and snooze room for Flight Center guests who are grounded for weather or maintenance. There is a courtesy car available.

The Flight Center is staffed by Federal Aviation Administration certificated technicians with Inspection Authorization, who follow the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association's code of ethics for professionalism. Each technician is an active member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.

Detroit Lakes has a completely restored downtown with good restaurants, movie and live theater, nice shops, sandy beach, golf course and more. Our airport can support float planes, just land on the lake and float on in!
